Boxers can develop "cancers, progressive retinal atrophy, torsion (bloat), epilepsy, bleeding disorders, intestinal problems" (Bailey 37), heart murmurs and ailments of the joints, such as arthritis and hip dysplasia, although most good breeders test their breeding stock before breeding and the incidence is slowly decreasing. الملاكمون يمكن وضع "السرطانات ، شبكي الضمور التدريجي ، والإلتواء (انفخ) ، والصرع ، اضطرابات النزيف ، مشاكل" (بيلي 37) ، وامراض القلب الدندنه من المفاصل ، مثل الروماتيزم والورك النمو الشاذ ، وعلى الرغم من ان معظم مربي الماشيه جيدا ان تختبر مدى قدرتها على التناسل المخزون قبل التناسل والاصابة يتناقص ببطء.
White boxers have a tendency to develop deafness at a rate much higher than other boxers. الملاكمون بيضاء قد تميل إلى وضع الصمم بسعر فائدة اعلى بكثير من غيرها الملاكمون. Some studies indicate 30-40% of all white boxers are deaf in one or both ears. وتشير بعض الدراسات الى 30-40 ٪ من جميع البيض الملاكمون صم في احد او كلا الاذنين. The ancestors of this breed were the German Bullenbeisser, a dog of Mastiff descent, and the English Bulldog. الأجداد هذه هي سلالة الالمانيه bullenbeisser ، كلب كلب الدرواس من النسب ، والانكليزي البلدغ. The Bullenbeisser had been working as a hunting dog for centuries, employed in the pursuit of bear, wild boar, and deer. فان bullenbeisser كان يعمل بوصفه كلب الصيد لعدة قرون ، والعاملين في السعي لتتحمل ، والخنزير البري ، والايل. Its task was to seize the prey and hold it until the hunters arrived. وكانت مهمتها الاستيلاء على الفريسه وتحميلها حتى وصل الصيادون. The American Kennel Club (AKC) recognised the first Boxer champion in 1915. نادي بيت الكلب الامريكى (akc) اعترف اول ملاكم البطل في 1915.
During World War I, the Boxer was co-opted for military work, acting as a valuable messenger dog, pack-carrier, attack dog, and guard dog. خلال الحرب العالمية الاولى ، وقد شارك الملاكم اختارت العمل العسكري ، بوصفها قيما رسول الكلب ، باقه - الناقل ، وهجوم كلب ، وكلب حراسة.

The name "Boxer" is supposedly derived from this breed of dog beginning a fight by standing on its two hind legs and "boxing" with its two front paws. اسم "الملاكم" ومن المفترض ان تستمد من هذا كلب من سلالة بداية معركة بوقوفها على اثنين هند والارجل "الملاكمه" مع اثنين من الجبهة الكفوف.

Uses of Boxer Dogs استخدامات الملاكم الكلاب
Boxers are friendly, lively companions that are often used as family dogs, although they are also used as guard dogs. الملاكمون هي صديقة ، حية المرافقون ان كثيرا ما تستخدم الكلاب الاسرة ، على الرغم من انها تستخدم ايضا كما كلاب الحراسه. They also sometimes appear at dog agility trials and flyball. كما أنها تبدو أحيانا في كلب الرشاقه المحاكمات وflyball.
Before dog fighting was made illegal, Boxers were often used in dog fights. قبل كلب القتال كان غير قانوني ، الملاكمون غالبا ما تستخدم فى احداث شغب الكلب.
